Alta Kloppers completed a B Dietetics and Post- Graduate Diploma in Hospital Dietetics at the University of Pretoria as well as a MSc Dietetics from the University of the Free State. Alta is well-known and respected in the field of dietetics and also a past member of the Executive Committee for the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA) as the portfolio holder for private practicing dietitians. Alta is also regularly invited to present to dietitians and other healthcare professionals at workshops and congresses. Alta has a special interest in the feeding of the critically ill patients. As an expert witness, she also has extensive experience in the writing of medico-legal reports.

Following her dream, Alta is a cofounder of the recently established Academy of Dietetic Excellence. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys applying the expertise she gained over three decades in private practice, by guiding and developing young dietitians in all aspects of running a successful practice and efficient patient management.
