In January 2020, Marelize started working at Alta Kloppers and Associates, and before the end of the year, she had been promoted to Associate. Marelize was named the 2022 Dietitian of the Year due to her dedication to her career and outstanding work ethics. Marelize provides patient consultations at Medimix at New Market and Netcare Alberton Hospital.

Marelize has a passion for helping people, and being a dietitian allows her to fulfill her passion through her career. She became very interested in treating individuals with cancer, gastrointestinal diseases and those who had undergone gastrointestinal surgery. Marelize also has a special interest in women's health and finds great delight in treating patients with PCOS and mothers in the breastfeeding and postpartum period.

With a passion for fitness, Marelize enjoys treating young athletes with a special interest in short distance running. In addition she is also a certified Pilates instructor.

To relax, Marelize enjoys rebounding and spending time with her family. She is the mother of two handsome boys.
